Set Up Scorekeeper for 3x3 Leagues
3x3 games can be scored using the current Scorekeeper app with a few setting adjustments. Scorekeeper can be set up to assign points to individual players, or to teams only.
Before getting started, games must be set up in GameDay or Glory League using a 3x3 court name. If your courts are not currently enabled for 3x3, please contact Glory League Support.
1. Click the dropdown next to the 3x3 League name. For multiple leagues, check the boxes next to each league, then select Edit Scorekeeper Settings from the button that appears above the league list.
2. For a single league click Edit Scorekeeper Settings.
3. Update Period Settings
- Set Period Type to Single
- Set Period Length to 10
- Leave Overtime Period Length as the default 5 minutes or increase if required.
Overtime period length only affects what is shown if the visible game clock is enabled.
If Game Clock Visible is enabled, set the clock to 00:10:00 so it counts down from 10 minutes.
4. If players have numbers and you want points assigned to individual players, set Scoring Mode to Scoring player simple.
Set Number of starting players to 3. The game will not start unless at least 3 players from each team are tapped in.
5. For GameDay competitions, uncheck Allow new team members to be added on Scorekeeper.
Tap in players by default can be checked if you want people to be automatically tapped into a game. This will only work when Number of starting players is left empty.
6. For Leagues that do not want to assign points per player, or where players do not have numbers, set Scoring Mode to Allow game players, scoring team.
This allows points to be assigned to the team instead of individual players and does not require player numbers to start the game.
For this mode it is recommended that you leave Number of starting players empty and select Tap in players by default.
7. Uncheck Allow 3pt shots to be scored. This removes 3-point shots as an option in the Scorekeeper app, leaving only 1-point and 2-point scoring options.
It is recommended that Allow misses to be scored is left unchecked, as this only shows 1-pt misses.
8. Change Team fouls per period before bonus to 6.
Change the Max player fouls to 50, or another high number.
There is currently no option to set this field to 0.
Click OK to save the settings.
